African Penguin makes it onto the Endangered Species List
It is with great sadness that we learnt this week our beloved African Penguin is now an endangered species.
Despite all the hard work that Dyer Island Conservation Trust is putting into saving the population, there are still many natural and human threats to these creatures that have the biggest personalities.
Watch this video for information on the work that they are doing to help preserve these penguins so our future generations can know them for real and not live a life void of the African Penguin.

Thanks so much for the post on the African Penguins and link to the Dyer Island Conservation Trust. Just to say that the web address needs to have a .za at the end to get to the Trust’s website http://www.dict.org.za
We have had some good news for the penguins recently by placing another 7 nests on an island in Namibia Ichaboe – see the news section on the website. – already 2 have been inhabited by penguins.

Thank you for picking up on my error. I have amended the link and it should all be working now.
I am pleased about the news and will do all I can to aid the plight of the African Penguin.
